Old Stone Church in the Fall

Driving along route 140 on my way to Princeton and Mt. Wachusett Wildlife Sanctuary, I was driving through the Wachusett Reservoir – the wellspring for nearby towns. I stopped in the mid afternoon to photograph the Old Stone Church. I used a little stopper by Lee Filters, but forgot my tripod at home, so I had to balance my Nikon on top of my camera back along the shoreline. I love how iron grey sky matches the iron grey water, while the brown oak leaves and green conifers offer a striking contrast to the Old Stone Church.

    1. Thank you! It is a beautiful little abandoned church on the side or a large reservoir. The town that the church was located it was actually flooded and the church is one of the few structure that remains.
